I first shared this Aloha Tropical Smoothie recipe on Lil Luna where I am a contributor. Beat the summer heat with a yummy, refreshing, and healthy Tropical Strawberry Smoothie. No need to go to Hawaii when you’ve got this in hand!
I thought it was humid living in St. Louis and Omaha but Long Island takes the cake. When walking to my car it feels like I’m walking in a sauna and I look like I did! A cool refreshing Tropical Strawberry Smoothie in the hot afternoon is a necessity.
I thought we were going to be past apartment living at this point but since we’ll only be in New York for 1 year it was the best only affordable option. The good think is that we found a place that has a washer and dryer in it AND we have a pool. This is the first time we’ve ever had a community pool and it’s been so fun especially for my kids. We don’t ever want the summer to end!
After swimming for a few hours, the girls and I like to come home and drink a smoothie. It’s the perfect ending to a fun day.
The best is when my four-year-old says “This is the bestest day ever!” And it truly is. Aren’t the simple and relaxing days spent as a family sipping on tropical smoothies is the best?
This smoothie is super simple to make. Though, aren’t all smoothies? This Aloha Pineapple Smoothie has just 6 simple ingredients- pineapple, strawberries, banana, Greek yogurt, ice, and pineapple juice.
This follows my basic smoothie formula– fruits + banana + Greek yogurt + ice (optional) + juice. Follow this smoothie and you’ll have a perfect smoothie every time. Perfectly sweet, refreshing, and healthy! I especially love using Greek yogurt versus just regular because of the high protein content. Helps keep me more full. Enjoy!
Tools used to make this Tropical Strawberry Smoothie:
Wolf Gourmet Blender– This blender is amazing! It a power house that can blend anything. I love it and use it for everything from smoothies, to soups, to dressings.
KitchenAid Blender– If you’re not ready to commit to a high power blender, this one is great! This one served me well in making smoothies and pureeing soups and sauces for 8 years.
Measuring Cups– I love these measuring cups! It has every single size measuring cup and spoon. I can’t stand sets that don’t come with 2/3 and 3/4 cups!
