Buttermilk Syrup

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 tablespoons Karo syrup
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
Instructions
- Place sugar, buttermilk, butter, and Karo syrup in a large sauce pan and bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Remove from heat once it begins to boil. Stir in baking soda and vanilla (it will get really foamy). Serve over pancakes, waffles, french toast… Store remaining in a jar in the fridge.
