Take 3 minutes to throw together this 5-ingredient Berry Topper Parfait, a Jamba Juice Copycat recipe, for a healthy, refreshing, and filling breakfast or snack.
I know most adults want to look younger than they really are, but I don’t think looking like a teenager is ever the goal, especially when you’ve already got 2 kids. Yep! Just last week I was told I look like a teenager… by a teenager! It makes me wonder how many random strangers thought I had a two teen pregnancies?! I guess the good thing though is that when I’m in my forties I’ll look like I’m 30… as long as my children start sleeping through the night so I can get my beauty sleep.
I’d like to attribute my youthful looks to eating healthy, especial since I studied dietetics in college, but I do have a daily bowl of ice cream, handful of those addicting Mini Cadbury Eggs, or some blogging yummies (cake, brownies, cookies). I believe in moderation though. Restricting food like dessert just makes one want it more and end up binging. I’m also not a supporter of cutting out food groups unless there is a medial reason (allergy, disease…) because you are cutting out important vitamins & minerals. All foods can fit into a healthy diet! But enough about all that. Let’s discuss this yummy Berry Topper Parfait {Jamba Juice Copycat}!
A lot of my extended family lives in Utah so I grew up going there at least once a year. Besides seeing my cousins I always looked forward to getting a smoothie at Jamba Juice. They have the best smoothies! My favorite is the mango, probably because it’s the sweetest. Well, lucky for me I attended college in Utah so UNLIMITED access to delicious smoothies for me! I met my husband in college and we enjoyed many Jamba’s together. The Berry Topper Parfait was his favorite because it not only tastes fantastic but it keeps you full.
My mom always said that what makes a smoothie good is a banana thrown in the mix and I agree! It adds creaminess and sweetness. This smoothie parfait also has more protein than a regular smoothie because of the Greek yogurt, milk, and nuts in the granola. It’s so refreshing and the granola on top adds the perfect crunchy texture.
Breakfast and snack time just a whole lot better! Double or triple the recipe and share with the kiddos! They’ll love it! It only takes 5 simple ingredients and 3 minutes to throw this together. Make it today!
